1. Irreversible (2002)

When a woman gets raped by a stranger, his boyfriend & ex-lover form allies with two criminals to punish him the same way. The movie caused distress among viewers with scenes of a man repeatedly bashing somebody's head and raping a woman before beating her to an unrecognizable appearance. A contributor adds that due to the graphical nature & disturbing background music, the movie is hard to digest for many.

2. How I Met Your Mother (2005-14)

This American sitcom spans over nine seasons, narrating the story of an architect named Ted. It depicts the story of Ted narrating his love story to his kids about how he met their mother. As she'd died a few years ago, his kids encouraged him to date a friend &  move on. The back & forth time travel storytelling & twists at the end left cinephiles infuriated & numb.

3. The Skin I Live In (2011)

It follows the story of Dr. Robert Ledgard, who loves his wife deeply & a plastic surgeon by profession. One day, the lady dies burning in a tragic incident, and Robert is left suffering with her obsession and grief. So, he creates synthetic skin resistant to any damage through surgical treatments. Cinephiles lament online, saying that the movie isn't scary at all but rather creepy, moody and highly time-wasting.

4. Audition (1999)

“Audition” observes the horror/romance genre of film. As the story develops, a widower & his friend are shown conducting auditions to find a potential wife for the lonely guy. When he finally likes a woman, she is not what she seems to be. One user raves, saying that the plot was predictable & seeking reflection of past partners in new ones was just as expected.

5. Black Swan (2010)

In this 2010 horror/mystery thriller, a ballerina named Nina can go to any extent to be immaculate. She soon leads in the industry with her attitude and becomes the main character. Despite being offered the role of White Swan, her director chooses Lily instead of Nina, causing her mental strain and hallucinations. A cinephile laments, saying the unrequired nudity scenes make it a bizarrely unhinging experience to watch.

6. Breaking Bad (2008–2013)

Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who struggles to make ends meet, transforms into a drug cartel from a teacher. The film unravels dark, gritty action scenes and the human psyche, compelling the audience to believe that a man can provide for his family. On an online platform, a user commented that she watched a few episodes on Netflix but couldn't find anything appealing in that fuss.

7. Suits (2011)

The show revolves around a talented college dropout who starts to work for a law associate despite not having a degree. He takes high-stakes cases while keeping his secret undercover. A user criticized the show's cast for being unrealistically cool for school. Another quoted that it's not as entertaining as the old high school shows like LA Law, Boston Legal, or Ally McBeal used to be.

8. The Walking Dead (2010)

Adapted from the comic book series of Robert Kirkman, the show narrates the post-apocalyptic consequences. Unlike other shows centered around zombies, it's about people showing how to deal with them. It demonstrates the themes of morality, leadership & emotional intelligence of people at their core. 9. Dexter (2006–2013)

It follows the journey of Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensic technician in the Miami Metro Police Department. He lives a double life and uses his analytical skills during the daytime while homicidal at night. His only principle is to kill those killers who've escaped justice. A user claims online that the dominating psychopathic nature of Dexter is disturbing at times. However, the show has received mixed reviews.

10. The Crown (2016–2023)

“The Crown” is a Netflix special show showcasing a historical drama story. It is centered around Queen Elizabeth II, who, after the king's death, succeeded to the throne of the British monarchy. Soon, as she takes the responsibilities she navigates through a series of political and personal challenges. A film fanatic opined that the show was less related to historical events & seemed a fabricated fictional story.
