1. Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios (2025)
The story features Batman as an Aztec native, Yohualli Coatl (Horacio Garcia Rojas), resisting the Spanish colonization of his homeland. Much like his more familiar counterpart, Bruce Wayne, Yohualli Coatl's parents are murdered. Only in this version are their murderers Conquistadors. Little has been revealed beyond the expected 2024 release, but this animated offering from Juan Jose Meza-Leon will certainly stand as a testament to the creative liberties afforded by the Elseworlds banner.
2. El Muerto (2024)
Looks like the spider world is getting bigger and better. Joining the likes of Venom, Kraven The Hunter, and Madame Web, Sony studio announced the arrival of at CinemaCon. El Muerto has remained an obscure character until now. The studio has announced the title role, putting Bad Bunny on board for the titular role. He's a Grammy-winning rapper who enjoys massive popularity too. The rapper thinks he will fit into the role effortlessly because of his love for wrestling and his stint as a wrestler.
3. Madame Web (2024)
Sony is expanding the Spider-Verse with Madame Web, marking it the fifth film in the Spidey installment. The movie will be directed by S.J. Clarkson, an esteemed TV director, and is written by Morbius screenwriters Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. The clairvoyant character first debuted in the 1980s Spiderman comic book, was born blind. She suffers from myasthenia gravis, which makes moving or even breathing extremely difficult. Hence, the character is always hooked to a support system shaped like a spiderweb. As her condition worsens, she slowly starts developing physical powers, which she uses to become a medium.
4. Captain America: Brave New World (February 14, 2025)
We know it will be challenging to watch anyone else play the iconic role of Captain America other than Chris Evans. Continuing the storyline in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Malcolm Spellman, the show's creator and head writer, is back with Captain America: Brave New World. The story will show Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, as Captain America. The show, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, left viewers with some unanswered questions, which will be answered in the fourth instalment of the Captain America movie.
5. Thunderbolts (May 2, 2025)
Thunderbolts to Marvel is what Suicide Squad is to DC! Movie buffs know that Suicide Squad is about a group of villains who go on a dangerous mission for the government. Thunderbolts is Marvel's group of bad boys, made up of reformed tough guys. In 2022, it was announced that Jake Schreier would direct the upcoming film, with films like Paper Towns and Robot & Frank under his name.
6. Blade (November 7, 2025)
Wesley Snipes' iconic character of Blade, a half-human, half-vampire hunter, is still afresh in our memories. It has been over two decades since we saw Marvel's bloodsucking character. Suppose you remember correctly, at the end of the second post-credit scene of the Eternals. In that case, we see Kit Harrington's character, Dane Whitman, looking at the Ebony Blade, indicating his story will lead to the Black Knight. But then we hear a voice, which turns out to be Blade's. Well, it'll be interesting to see how the Marvel Universe will fit the vampire hunter in the story; we have to wait till the release.
7. Deadpool & Wolverine (July 26, 2024)
When Disney took over Fox and handed over Deadpool to Kevin Feige, fans were a little worried as the R-rated foul-mouthed character might get washed down for the younger audience. But they have no plans of changing Deadpool's outrageous personality; hell yeah! The film is going to be R-rated and an MCU movie. This time, Shawn Levy will be directing the films, who has worked with Ryan in Free Guy and The Adam Project. And we have some excellent news for Wolverine fans. It has been confirmed by Ryan Reynolds, through his Instagram, that Hugh Jackman is going to show up in Deadpool 3. That's right, Wolverine will be back with his iconic claws.
8. Kraven the Hunter (August 30, 2024)
Kicking off the 2023 slate of superhero movies is Kraven the Hunter, the fourth film in Sony's Spiderman Universe. Triple Frontier filmmaker J.C. Chandor will direct the film from a script written by Uncharted screenwriters Art Marcum Matt Holloway and The Equalizer screenwriter Richard Wenk. Taking on the titular role of the anti-hero will be Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is no stranger to the world of superheroes, having starred in the title role in both Kick-Ass movies and playing Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
9. Joker: Folie à Deux (October 4, 2024)
Joker made history by becoming the first R-rated movie to gross over $1 billion worldwide. Needless to say, Warner Bros. will be hoping to replicate that success with the sequel – which is no less bold than its predecessor. Gaga's involvement is rendered all the more applicable by reports that Joker: Folie à Deux will be a musical, proving that Phillips is still committed to pushing boundaries. The results can be seen this Fall, on October 4.
10. Venom: The Last Dance (October 25, 2024)
The anticipated third instalment of Sony's successful Venom franchise has a lot of questions to answer as it follows Venom's fleeting foray into the MCU as depicted in Spiderman: No Way Home's post-credits scene. It will be hard for the Venom: Let There Be Carnage sequel to brush a jaunt through the multiverse under the rug. Meanwhile, Venom's gutsy convenience store owner, Mrs Chen, also recently came into contact with an animated Spot from Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse, meaning that Venom 3 has a couple of multiverse plot threads to address.
