15 Mistakes Women Often Make in Relationships

A relationship is about selflessness, emotional connectivity, loyalty, and a sense of love and care between two individuals. Not all relationships are meant to reach their destiny, but the best part is that they help us grow as better people. To err is human and cannot be limited to just one gender. However, here are fifteen mistakes that women often make in relationships:

1. Trust Issues

Strong trust is the key to any relationship, and marriage is no exception. When trust is lacking between couples, it leads to trust issues and suspicion against one another. Generally, women make the mistake of spying on their partners, which frustrates and demeans the other one. Therefore, maintaining healthy boundaries is essential.

2. Comparing Relationships

Relationships are not meant to be compared, not only because they defy the laws of love. You should understand that your relationship is one-of-a-kind; its energy and intensity of love cannot be measured with anyone. Only contrast your current life with your best memories to clarify what components are required to keep that vibrancy.

3. Neglecting Self Care

Women are God's beautiful creatures that deserve to be appreciated. They have the right to care for their beauty. However, as time passes, they start neglecting self-care and prioritizing responsibilities. By not caring for their beauty, women lose the habit of putting effort into getting ready. This erases all the rainbow and leads a relationship towards slow death.

4. No Personal Space

During the initial days of a blooming relationship, everything looks beautiful because of the love, attention, and secretion of happiness hormones. However, over time, some women get a little clingy, which makes it challenging to have some space. It is better to maintain healthy boundaries and remember how they used to spend their “me time” before this.

5. Keeping Secrets

Relationship therapists believe that a couple has no secrets after years of dating. However, this should not be mixed with the need for privacy. Couples should create room for mutual trust and support to avoid clandestine occurrences. When it is lacking, women hide facts, making their partners suspicious and leaving them with ambiguous ideas.

6. Unaccepting Personality Changes

No one is the epitome of perfection in this world. Humans possess inherent flaws and qualities, making it impossible for someone to completely change themselves, as they differentiate us and create diversity. Sometimes, women try changing their partners' personalities, thinking, “I'll fix him.” It is essential to accept your partner the way they are.

7. Emotional Detached

Relationships vary from couple to couple; some like to be expressive, and others want to keep it low-key. Women are more emotionally sensitive than men in real life. Most are seen exploiting their partners by dumping emotional baggage. While this doesn't apply to all, they are unavailable emotionally when men need it.

8. Fake Love

Love cannot be resisted, even if played or pretended. Women often casually date men to avoid breaking their hearts. They keep waiting until they are completely in love before confessing their feelings. Under such circumstances, women usually reject men and make up a story that not only breaks their confidence but also their faith in love.

9. Blame Game

The blame game in a relationship can be toxic and damaging. Couples must set defined boundaries or else become victims of them. Ladies who don't own their responsibilities try to indulge in a blame game to escape. Narcissists use self-promotion to eliminate things, but this approach may not be suitable, so open communication is crucial.

10. Undervaluing Efforts

Do you remember the last time you got a compliment as being a male? No. It is because a man is only respected or loved under the condition that he can provide something. They are never caressed unconditionally. Similarly, in relationships, women take males' efforts for granted, thinking it's their duty.

11. Staying in Touch With an Ex

Loyalty is the core value of a relationship, and no compromise shall be made. If you're dating someone, you must give your 100% or don't partially. Women who chat with their exes are a big red flag and must be considered twice. There's no point in being in touch with someone else having a partner.

Human psychology suggests that opposite personalities attract each other. But what if both assert superiority? It will cause turmoil. The debate on the role of gender in a relationship can be significant. Netizens value love and equality, but displaying dominance by women can cause chaos when some men are hesitant to accept it.

13. Separation

What sounds more unjust than a cute and smoothly flowing love story falling apart? Sadly, it's a part of life that can happen to anyone. People get away for different reasons, but the common one is usually the decline of the spark in a relationship. Women typically take a break to sort things out, which mostly ends up as separation.

14. Disclosing Personal Matters

Fights and conflicts of interest are integral to any relationship and should be approached lightheartedly. Meanwhile, it'll help if you work on mitigating their frequency over time. When you tell your matters to a third person, they no longer remain personal. The best approach is to maintain privacy and settle things internally.

15. Adultery

Lies, deceit, or lack of transparency are all means of cheating & unfaithfulness in a relationship. Cheating can irreparably damage a relationship, and females often defend themselves in such cases, but this is not an act by accident. It's not a mistake but a choice one makes alone. So, this shouldn't be called a mistake & deserves no apology.
