This is a tough one to post because so many of these have afflicted my life for a time.
There is a positive way forward.
It is so freeing when you let go of all these things and create a new and sustainable positive way of thinking, doing and living.
1. You Think The World Owes You Something (You're Entitled)
You think that because you graduated from college, you live in America because you have a nice smile whatever.
That fact this. You're entitled to absolutely nothing in this life.
The Positive Paradigm Shift here is to begin to understand that everything you have is a complete gift. Your breath in your lungs, having four limbs, having ten fingers that work, having fresh water at your disposal.
Those are all complete blessings. That the car you drive, the place you live in, the roof over your head, the people in your life, the phone you have (this phone
costs more than some people making a whole entire year).
That's insane to me.
Don't squander what you've been given living in this industrial life where you have nice clothing, clothing that fits. and multiple pairs of shoes.
You're blessed.
Be gracious for that and know that you are blessed.
The more and more I really lean into the I've been given nothing this life or nothing is guaranteed in this life the more satisfaction I have.
2. You Hesitate and Don't Take Action (You Overthink Everything)
The faster you can get out of your head and create what you need to create, call who you need to call, converse with the people you need to converse with and simply do what you know you need to do you will begin having more success.
You probably know exactly what you need to do, but you're not doing it for whatever reason whether you think you're going to fail whether you think it's not going to work.
You think you're not sufficient whatever that is that identity (and that's something to be dealt with). The reality is this issue of paralysis by analysis is so real.
The really easy Positive Paradigm Shift to this one is to do more.
Act more.
Not to tire yourself out but to act more as opposed to having 100 good ideas in your brain. How about you put one good idea on paper one good idea that actually comes into this world as opposed to everything staying in your brain.
I've had so many million dollar ideas (I think). But I didn't write them down and I didn't create them and they're gone now.
Think less, do more.
3. You Have No Hope For the Future (You're Pessimistic And Negative)
It's really difficult for me to go back in time to really go to a time where I was super pessimistic and cynical and negative. But I do have times even now being as optimistic and enthusiastic and positive as I am. I still have my times (as everyone does) the faster I learn that you and I ourselves control about 1%.of life. 99% is nothing you can control.
So I've realized that the1% I can, that tiny, tiny little percentage of the world I can control I've taken that and run with it (quite far). Because that's something I can create and I can have autonomy over. That 1% I can start creating something positive. As opposed to thinking I can control 100% because imagine if you had to control everything in the world. That would suck. Shout out to God for having 100% control over life. Amen
That's overwhelming and would make me pessimistic and not hopeful for the future. People who are positive about the future and are hopeful tomorrow and the next days are going to be the best days of your life they're much more successful in business and relationships.
So business and relationships. If either of those is important to you start being positive and enthusiastic today.
4. You Don't Have a Budget and You Spend on Impulse (You Think That is a Normal Thing and Everyone Has Debt)
Impulsive behavior begets impulsivity.
Success begets success.
The decision is yours.
The very first step in financial success is becoming aware and mindful of where you're spending money.
Which means you will start living in reality starting today.
The Positive Paradigm Shift here is to start tracking expenses. Take a little book and write down everything you spend money on throughout the month whether it be a $3 Starbucks, whether it be your $1300 mortgage. It doesn't matter the amount. The important thing here is to become mindful. The more you become mindful the more you can control that 1% of life.
Maybe that means you put your credit cards in a sock drawer and don't use them.
Do what you need to do.
You have to start creating some self-control though because you're always gonna have access to credit cards or always have access to credit you're always going to access to all these things. You're an adult.
Positive Paradigm Shift – track expenses and begin to become aware on a daily basis. Don't judge yourself. Forgive yourself. daily and begin again. When you mess up you don't actually fail. This is an opportunity to rebalance, get back up and start doing it over again.
Start fresh.
5. You Want to Bring Happiness, Joy and Comfort to Everyone Around You. But You're Not Taking Care of Yourself. (Self-care is Not a Priority)
I'm so happy self-care becoming more and more mainstream because it is SO NECESSARY.
if I'm not filled up with enthusiasm and positivity doing my self-care and doing the things I need to do in the morning. There's no way I can serve others sustainability.
I may be able to do it for a time. But I care about what I can do for 20 years, not 6 months.
If you do not implement self-care, you will find a burnout spot. The reason I can work so much and do so much is because I self-care each and every day.
I fill up that glass a little bit more every day. It pours out and I fill it back up. Most people are operating from a completely empty glass and it simply doesn't work.
If you want to have profound impact on your business, relationships, in the world you gotta fill up every single day. That filling up begins with you looking inwardly and taking care of yourself first before you take care of anyone else. Not the other way around. We want sustainability and self-care is necessary for long-term sustainability.
Those are my five. I know there are about a billion things that I could have mentioned but these are the five most profound that came to my mind but comment below.
I want to know what other pitfalls and what else that we as humans in general, create in our brains.
We create them by our own actions. And what can we do to possibly change that Paradigm? A positively changed Paradigm can push you from the brink of success to success in everything.
But until you change that Paradigm to a positive, you're never going to break through into that success. So change these negatives that are holding you back to positives your life will be successful. It's simple math.
1 + 1 = 2
You will have satisfaction even if you don't make a ton of money.
Be compassionate to yourself. What you've done is sufficient.
Forgive yourself.
You are sufficient.
You are enough.
The fact that matter is I can see that in myself and others, but can you see that in yourself?
