video transcript
Guys Max here. We are on location in somewhere in Europe. I won't say yet, but we're here. I'm gonna go over five ways to save money while traveling in this beautiful beautiful continent. All right, you guys will guess the birds are speaking Italian. Where am I? I'm in Rome currently with a consulate in my background super bright.
Sorry about that. But a consulate of some nature and only reason I know is because it said console Otto something that nature when I first walked down so there's Soldiers with lots of assault rifles. So if this is my last video love you guys. Anyhow, number one is to stay in hostels not hotels hostels hostels are.
I think the gem that we don't have in the states people say we have them but not nearly as widespread as Europe staying in multiple countries hostiles are by far the best way to do it between twenty and thirty dollars per day per night, which is crazy. When you think about when you're staying in the middle of a beautiful city like Rome so 20 30 bucks a night.
Obviously, it's in Euro, so don't do the conversion, but the super super good deal and I've met some pretty interesting and cool people staying at these hostiles number two, so I looked at.
Drinking water. It's awesome. Because in Rome specifically there's a bunch of free water and other places need to pay for water. But there's a lot of water here and alcohol is super expensive. They give you a tourism premium when you buy alcohol in these areas, so drinking water or buying alcohol at stores compared to bars.
It's Insanity. My friend was at a cafe, but was two nights ago each spent. Almost $10 for one glass of beer crazy so drink up but the H2O kind so I've done both traveling alone and also traveling with a partner traveling with the partner. You can actually subsidize a lot of costs like an Uber from the airport or specific weird tourism taxes if they do for each party, very weird different every single country, so don't quote me on.
But traveling with the partner you can split a lot of common costs and make sure you really like the person because if you go somebody you don't like it's going to be a long long trip so find somebody you really like and then obviously writing out a vacation budget but that being said though. I've been taught by those around me be flexible with it.
It doesn't mean. Go three times over your budget. Not what I'm saying at all. However, Be Frugal with the spending. If you do it. This video says you'll save a lot of money on the stupid stuff and be able to spend it on things like guided tours and all different events that you're going to actually remember you're not going to remember that one.
Random beer you had if you do good for you most will not so save your money for the things that actually are important like the fun stuff. There are so many free attractions and all these different. Cities and you heard me free. So go on foot travel around where you're staying. I bet you will find so many different things as well as asking the people where you're staying about different events because they live there.
They know a lot more than you do being a tourist. So definitely check out all the free events. Alright World Travelers, what else? Is there there are so many different things.
