The US is famous for its richness and fusion of cultures, ethnicity, linguistics, and traditional values. However, certain regions must be more publicized to attract tourists and investors.
At times, the hype created for a place is so overloaded that it becomes quickly excruciating for tourists if they don't find it according to expectations and interests. A reality check was launched to gain a transparent insight into some popular US cities.
1. Las Vegas, Nevada
It's always advertised that there is something for everyone in Vegas, like great restaurants for foodies, rides and off-road buggies for thrill seekers, museums for progressives, hiking for the outdoorsy, and high-end stores for shopping hauls, which is merely the puffed-up Vegas.
A traveler highlighted that once he visited Vegas for corporate events, and to his surprise, it was crowded with drunk tourists and messy streets, and it was overpriced.

Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States, is also overrated. The white house is the biggest attraction for visitors. However, the cost of living and traffic congestion make it insane.
