Several movies are aged poorly because of changes in society's values. Another reason movies age badly is technological advancement or a shift in cultural understanding. It is essential to understand that the norms of society change with time. Those deemed acceptable in the past may be no longer acceptable today. Some movies that we used to like in the past, we don't like at all. This is because human nature changes with time.
1. Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
Some iconic movies are called out because of going for not aging well. The reason for Breakfast at Tiffany's being out is racism. The film is about a young woman who is a citizen of New York. It is shown that this woman maintains herself together with a wealthy elite. The woman was looking for a place where she could claim her own.
2. The Last Exorcism Part 2 (2013)
This film is an excellent sequel to the first in this. The true intentions of demons are revealed. This movie is an example of classic horror tactics, and it is not like traditional Exorcism. Some people said that through the trailer, this movie seems as the same premise skeptic, which is trying to expose Exorcism as shameful. This is what the title shows, but instead, this film follows Nell to adulthood, and the demon wants to possess the story's main character. This movie is not showing any characteristics of post-modernism or self-awareness.
3. Never Been Kissed (1999)
Never Been Kissed is always problematic because this movie is about adult posing. Some negativity like nudity, flirting, romance. There is a complicated age difference between some characters. This movie is always considered inappropriate because adults pose as high schoolers. Try to have a predatory and inappropriate relationship of fantasy romance or a laugh.
4. Blazing Saddles(1974)
The concept of the Blazing Saddle is anti-racism. The Blazing Saddle is a classic comedy with bawdy language and a symbol of send-up racism that younger people cannot understand. That's why I misinterpret. This movie has some adult comedy and spoofy scenes. Because of the evidence of racism is against modern error, and that's why social media claim this film is problematic.
5. Passengers (2016)
Passengers is a science fiction movie by Jennifer Lawrence. This movie is crime thrilled with some elements of horror. The hard punch of this movie is 10 to be emotional in between violence. The central theme of a passenger is the endless expanse of outer space, and it becomes a metaphor for human alienation.
6. The Curious Case of Benjamin's Button (2008)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a Hollywood movie about life and death. It's a short story in Hollywood, attention in 80's story of a man who was born old, aged backward, and died young. Different people have different views about this movie. Some thought this movie was gross when a baby looks about 80.
7. Around the World in 80 Days (1956)
In 1956 this global adventure movie struck a chord with the audience and was nominated for an Oscar. It isn't very interesting or a film by today's standards. Living in an interconnected and online world, many countries and cultures represent less novelty than they would be in the past.
8. The Greatest Show on Earth (1952)
It is the most incredible show on Earth and a massive movie of its time. As far as the old Hollywood epic movies go, this movie takes time to digest. It's simply various characters that all belong to the same circus. The younger people of today don't understand the craze of chaos. They need the tone to understand the appeal of this movie.
9. Gone with the Wind (1939)
This movie is a classic epic tragedy. This movie is one of the famous on-screen love stories because of the great characters, gorgeous costumes, and reminders of the past. This movie is the highest-gross American film of all time. The central theme of this movie which attracts the people, is survival.
10. The Blue Lagoon (1980)
The Blue Lagoon was the famous and controversial movie of 1980. The reason for the controversy is the age difference. The main lead, Brooke Shield, was just 14 when this film was released, and her coast was only 18. This film has some explicit scenes. They play the role of cousins in which the cell is in love with each other on an island. The movie was criticized at that time because of age issues.
