1. The Blind Side (2009)

A book spun into a movie, The Blind Side is a thriller-sports story about African-American teenage NFL player Michael Oher, who becomes America's excellent football player despite facing multiple life issues. Shortly after the controversies appeared, people discovered that the movie was about the glorification of white people and submissiveness. The reality was demoralizing for many viewers as one of the users expressed that it was so disheartening to believe that a family adopted you out of love only to realize that money was the real motive.

2. Loser (2000)

 Starring Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, and Greg Kinnear, the narrative of the movie Loser revolves around a student deemed a loser by his classmates and has sentiments for her crush. The story seems lovely, but if you glance at it now, it is gloaming. Our user clarified that it covers some severe topics considered serious crimes today that were shaken off as dismay years ago.

3. Tiptoes (2003)

One of the users on an online platform elucidated that it is one of the strangest movies they have ever seen. The script makes no sense and is characterized as an absolute trainwreck of a movie. Tiptoe, with a cast of Gary Oldman, Matthew McConaughey, and Peter Dinklage, is a film centered around a man who belongs to a dwarf family and is fearful that his newborn might inherit the dwarf genes.

4. Blank Check (1994)

Blank Check is a family comedy movie about a twelve-year-old kid (Brian Bonsall) who accidentally gets his hand on a million-dollar check and proceeds to spend it within a few days, only to realize the consequences it is bringing are way out of his league to handle. Users on the platform said they were excited to rewatch the movie again after years, but they felt too uncomfortable because of some scenes it portrayed that shouldn't be a part of the movie.

5. 2012 (2009)

2012 could have been a promising suggestion for someone who enjoys apocalyptic movies. Yet, the plot summary will only sit well with a few individuals. 2012 is about a tenacious writer (Jackson Curtis) who protects his whole family despite all the odds during an apocalyptic calamity that could wipe off humankind. One of the users justified that the entire scheme of having all prosperous multitudes survive the casualties while everyone dies didn't look remarkable.

6. The Notebook (2004)

One of the most renowned movies, The Notebook, also received backlash. With an extraordinary cast of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, the film is about a sweet summer love anecdote between Noah and Allie, but the reality is a bit dissimilar. An online platform user said they dreamed of having a fantasy like this one day in high school. Now that they are older, they realize that both characters are troublesome. Noah was compulsive, and Allie was the unfaithful fiancé. 

7. The Adventures of Milo and Otis (1986)

The Adventure of Milo and Otis is a Japanese adventure film about an orange cat who tumbles into a river while playing in a crate, and his friend's dog tries to aid him. The movie seems rather unharmful, but the scenes behind it are disturbing. One of the individuals shared that their childhood was ruined when they searched about Milo and Otis's animal cruelty.

8. Juwanna Mann (2002)

The saga portrays an ominous fellow disciplined by being removed from the basketball league. He decides to try for the women's club and surprisingly makes it on the team. Juwanna Mann with a cast of Miguel A. Núñez Jr. and Vivica A. Fox was not as funny as our user thought it was during his youth and said that the central theme was also significantly problematic.

9. St. Elmo's Fire (1985)

St. Elmo's Fire is a tale about seven childhood friends who struggle with friendship when they reach adulthood. It is a complicated drama comedy film that got the attention of many people not because of its plot but because of its characters. Users said they had re-watched this movie and had never seen a film about unlikeable, self-absorbed people.

10. Birth of a Nation (2016)

Birth of Nation is also considered a pioneer of multiple film techniques not previously seen and commonly used today. Birth of a Nation is about an educated enslaved person, Nat Turner, portrayed by Nate Parker, who seems to have hope to become a cause of freedom for his people. Although it may sound like a thought-provoking movie, it is nonetheless one of the movies with racist thoughts, as described by a user.
