Here are 5 steps to help you improve aspects of your life you may hate right now
Why do we keep doing things we absolutely hate? Why do we live the life that we absolutely despise yet we go every single day and do the same thing day after day after mundane, boring day? Well, if you hate your life or at least hate some part of it, that's at least you're here and you're in good company because I've definitely have parts of my life.
I have hated and currently hate. Here's a five step guide on how to start loving and enjoying the life that you hate right now. Rule five do not do what do you hate. I took this chapter as a really, really, really good splash of cold water in the face to really remind myself that if I don't like to in my life, I myself have the agency to fix it. No one is going to help me. No one is going to make that decision for me.
There are people who help me. That's that's a fact. But the only person who can really make the change happen is me. The only person who can really make the change happen in your life to make it better, to improve it, to continue moving forward is you and nobody else can. So it was a really good revitalizing moment to remind myself that I'm not waiting for anybody. I'm not waiting for anything. I will make it happen. “Tyranny grows slowly and asks us to retreat and comparatively tiny steps.
But each retreat increases the possibility of the next retreat, each betrayal of conscience, each act of silence. Despite the resentment we feel when silenced in each rationalization, weakens resistance and increases the probability of the next restrictive move forward.”
How many times have we heard this? Don't say this. Only say this. How many times have we heard people attempt to box us in and only allow us to say certain things? How about government emergency powers for now or just wear a mask, it's no big deal. It's only for a time. Right. And then my two favorite speech is Violence and Silence is violence.
Oh, my goodness, where are we? Now let's give the devil his due. These may all be really, really good things to keep us, “safe” and make sure everyone feels comfortable and is, you know, safe psychologically. But the fact of the matter is, a life where you're 100 percent psychologically safe is a very depressing, mundane, boring life. Think about it. If you are never challenged on a single thing you ever believed, would you ever change your stance?
No, you wouldn't.
And that sucks because the only way we actually grow and the only way we actually move forward is by having our stances of whatever it is challenged. And we then in our and that's how I do it. I'm challenging my stance. And then I think about it. And if it's the right way, I move forward. I change my stance. I'm not trying to rigidly put my stance or my my thought on something. When the facts emerge, when new facts emerge, my opinion changes.
That's just how it works. And these may seem like small steps, like small little things just wear a mask, you know, just do these certain things. But it's these small steps that the tyranny emerges and the next thing you know, it's on your doorstep. I just saw a story in Canada. There's literally a barricade and fence around this church where parishioners just literally wanted to go worship. They threw the pastor in jail for over a month.
This is insanity. And this is not my fear mongering. This is just reality. Tyranny is very, very close to us in the USA and we need to be very vigilant of that.
These small steps, although they seem small, actually are a giant leap forward and not the right way. And these are all blurring the lines of objective truth. You know, this is male versus female. Two plus two equals. Well, it depends.
It depends what it equals, depending upon your background and where you came from. What is this craziness? Two plus two equals four no matter what country, what tongue you speak or what part of history you're part of between the first century all the way to the twenty first century. And before then, two plus two equals four. It's they're blurring the lines on reality, blurring the lines of this so they can start instituting what they believe is. And these values are not derived by anything more than secularism, than government, than me as an individual.
Once they start getting into I create my own values. We are in very, very, very dicey territory.
Each law passed in each emergency power. Continuing, giving or not given but taken by the government, makes the individual smaller and smaller and smaller. Until we don't have an individual, if we only have a collective. And that is the murderous doctrine that created the twentieth century and all the terrible things that happened the twentieth century. It wasn't because one person one day thought, hmm, it's a good idea. How about tyranny? How about fascism? No, it wasn't that.
It really wasn't at all. It was step by step, order one, order two and all the way down the line until they were all the way at this craziness, which we look back on.
And some people don't remember what happened. The twentieth century, twentieth century communism and governments took approximately 100 million lives. That's not small, that's gigantic, and yet we're still here teetering towards socialism, which turns into communism. Wake up people. And it's just minimizing the individual more and more and more. And no, the answer is no. Hold your ground. Individual, first collective. Second individual, first group identity. Second individual, first government. Next way down the list, actually, but always the individual first.
No matter what we're talking about, it always goes down to the individual. That is what the West has. Right, and what has been right. And that's what found the foundational element of the West is the individual sovereignty. You have the option to make your life for what it is. You have the option to fail. I have the option to do great or to fail. That's a great thing. There's no equality of outcome. There's equality of all the opportunity.
We have different opportunities depending upon where we were raised, socio economic status, things of that nature. But when we make it to the equity and everything should be equitable will be equally miserable. I mean, look at Venezuela. How excited are they about being in their country? Do some research. It's not good. Martin Luther said peace if possible. Truth at all costs step one. Tell the truth always. Now, that doesn't mean tell the truth arrogantly or tell the truth brashly, it means tell the truth always.
And a lot of times that's tell the truth with a whole lot of love right there. And so needs to be direct, but a lot of times it needs to be spruced up, so be a good communicator. However, with that being said, tell the truth, always some dragons are everywhere and they are not easy to defeat. Now, the key word here is some not everything can be looked at as a lens of us versus them. The reality is most of these dragons are not the right versus left.
All these different versus it's more so me versus me, the shadow versus the light, the devil versus the angel on the shoulder. We all have a conscience that really knows what right and wrong is.
No matter how much you try to shut it up, no matter how much you try to make that angel go down in your shoulder, it's always there. He's always there telling you what's right. That's the conscience, the collective conscience we have. How do we know it's not good to murder someone? Well, the collective conscience, I mean, really from the man above and those tablets that Moses brought, but. We cannot create our own values. And right now I see so much of creating own value, your truth, you're this you you you you see people ask me what's the religion of, you know, 21st century?
It's all about me, me, me, how I feel, what I want, what I want to do well. Once we got out of the equation, it's all up to us and how about you? But I'm a very fallible failure of a human being that needs a whole lot of forgiveness and grace 24/7. And whenever you go into a us versus them mentality, always extrapolate and take it all the way to the end. There's always more nuance and always more to the story than the information you have.
One of the other rules right here are assume the person you're talking to knows something you do not, because the reality is they know a hell of a lot more than what you think they know. There are so many issues in your personal life that, OK, yeah, I won't speak for you all. Speak for me. There are so many issues of my life that I need to confront. I really need to confront them. So step two is identify the dragons, confront them and work on slaying them every single day when culture disintegrates because it refuses to be aware of its own pathology, because the visionary hero is absent, it descends into the chaos that underlies everything.
Under such conditions, the individual can die voluntarily as deeply as he or she dares into the depths and rediscover their eternal principles, renewing a vision in life. The alternative is despair, corruption and nihilism. Thoughtless subjugate subjugation to the false words of totalitarian utopianism and life as a miserable, lying and resentful slave. What values are most important right now? Our society Calendula. What do you think is the most important values that we're learning from culture right now?
And secondly, who are the here who we're following? Who are the heroes of the society? Comment below. I want to know what you guys think. I have some ideas, but what would you guys think? I mean, I can't talk about earlier.
The secularism, the all about meaning. The values are all about what makes me good, make me feel good. It really hedonism. It's really what makes me feel good, even if it's long term, you know, feel good. It's all about me, me, me. That's the value right now. The value is m e and it really needs to be more of how can I help you and how can you help me? Let's crack everyone's back and everyone feels nice and good as in they feel good from their back being scratched of course.
And then who are the heroes. I remember I think it was Time magazine that time. Twenty Person of the Year, Khateeb. Well, I don't know about you, but can I receive some new information that changes my mind on how she's a really upstanding citizen? I'm waiting for it. So if you have some, please send them. I'm really ready for it. And if you guys are enjoying this, please smash the like button and subscribe, because I have a lot more videos in the hopper.
Step three, layout your values and identify them. What are they figure them out. Write them down. They're very important, and then to lay your life out in a manner that is consistent with them, if family is very important and you want it to be important, prioritize your family. There are so many other values that are important. You have to figure out which ones work for you. Lay them out consistently, live your life that always goes back to these values, these values are the underlying foundational principles of life.
Even the most formidable in appearance may not be as omnipotent as it proclaims or appears. Allow for the possibility that you may be able to fight back, that you may be able to resist and maintain your soul, every single human on the face of the earth as just that a human. Do you remember Goliath? He was really tall and really, really formidable. And he had David still was able to slam. Everyone's a human. Remember that and more at a personal level, every addiction, every issue you have may seem like a Goliath, but always remember the story that David slayed Goliath.
It was totally. Not what everyone expected now, anyone expected it still happened. You are so much stronger than you really believe, I am so much struggling to give myself credit for you are so much stronger than you even imagine. I know that you have the strength in you. Everything, everything you need is within you right now. It's just a matter of activating it and turning the power on the power probably off. Turn it on and conquer it.
All right. Step four, find the issues that you believe are formidable in your life. Identify them and take one step at a time to slay those dragons.
As the old and cruel cliche goes, if you must cut off a cat's tail, do not do it half an inch at a time. Now, I'm all about incremental improvement. A little bit here. A little bit. A little bit each day. But at times there is so much dysfunction in life, so much dysfunction. Whatever the issue is, you have to completely go cold turkey, as in you take the capital, take the whole thing, chop it off from the nub, not a little bit of time.
That is more painful. And although making change is painful, it's unnecessarily painful to one inch at a time. It's something better to do a completely cold turkey and whatever it may be, sometimes it's best just to cut it off and not look back. And is the exact reason I don't drink alcohol because I realize if I go into that realm of life, there's no going back and there's no going back positively. So I realize that just cut the tail off, throw it away and continue moving forward.
All right. Step five, eliminate all things that people wasted, time that don't keep you aligned with your values. Well, that's a substance. Whether that's a person, whether that's waste of time, which I spend way too much time scrolling through junk, then I definitely should do whatever that is, figure out that is, and eliminate it. Don't do 10 percent less, don't add twenty percent less eliminated. I promise you you'll make your life a hell of a lot better, would you.
I think what other steps can you take to make your life a little more enjoyable.
