I am SUPER aware that not everyone likes me, my style of communication, my “no-excuses” attitude.
When I encounter those who do not act favorably toward me I previously reacted, probably said some aggressive statement and then said: “F— them” (in my head, obviously).
My definition of an enemy:
Someone who combats enthusiasm with apathy and positivity with negativity.
What I've been learning recently is that when I do the complete opposite and authentically engage in a loving manner with my “enemy” they outcome is favorable.
I've had a few interactions with enemies recently who were simply doing EVERYTHING in their path (it seemed) to rain on my parade!
I decided to show empathy and care for these individuals and let me tell you. More bridges have been built and I feel blessed to have learned such a valuable lesson. Build bridges with everyone, regardless of how they treat you.
Combat the rain of others with your sunshine. The sun will win every single time.
Always Moving Forward,
