Hi All, Max here!
Welcome to my personal finance and lifestyle blog.
I created this in order to hold myself accountable and improve my finances, track my progress and help others succeed in their financial and personal goals.
I am a twenty-something who graduated with a finance degree in 2016. Between 2016 and 2017 I interviewed at 31 different companies (and this is with a BS degree in business)!
During this time my hand was forced and I needed to make some rather unconventional financial decisions. One of these decisions was renting out the master bedroom in my house and moving into an RV. Another one was when my 4Runner head gasket needed replacement and How I Dealt with a $3010.38 Car Repair Bill with No Job!
These two events and a myriad of other things motivated me to start writing about personal finance.
I bought my first home in 2015 (in college AND working full time). See How I Bought My First House at 21. Although this took much discipline, delayed gratification and “adulting” I would not have changed my decision here. Did I mess up in a few areas? Of course. For that reason I have also written What To Answer Before Buying That House and I Just Bought My House. What Should I Prepare For?
Passionately I write (and think) often about how to Use Credit Cards To YOUR Advantage. There are many misconceptions when it comes to credit cards, credit scores, credit bureaus. With my nine credit cards, home loan and car loan I have done the hard work on the Top Credit Cards to Use In Your 20's. Even if you're not in your 20's this is still a great guide! I also publish which cards I currently use and their benefits here.
I believe that once a person becomes complacent in life that is when they begin to perish. On that point, I have a
borderline addiction when it comes to self-improvement and learning about personal finance. I love hearing from my readers with feedback, comments and future subjects you'd like to open a dialogue about.
Lastly, thanks for visiting my page I look forward to connecting with you. The most fun part of my days is when I respond to your questions/comments. It's difficult being a millennial and I have made it my devotion to enrich, encourage and empower those in the same walk of life as me.
Always Moving Forward,
