1. King Kong (1933)

The film is a combination of horror adventure which revolves around an Ape, the protagonist who resembles a Gorilla. When a film crew visits a mysterious island for a shoot, they come across a massive, extinct ape residing on an enigmatic island. Mayhem ensues when the gorilla attempts to mate with one of the crew members. It is directed by Merian C. Cooper & Ernest B.Schoedsack. Soon, Kong named ape became part of pop culture due to its strength & size.

2. Beauty and the Beast (1946)

Belle, a young, beautiful woman, embarks on a journey to save her father from a creature that has locked him in his dungeon. Eventually, she finds out that the beast is an enchanted prince who has been cursed & is kind & gentle, and she falls in love with him. It is based on a fantasy romance film. The movie was directed by Jean Cocteau. With its visual storytelling, emotional depth, & imaginative interpretation of artistic sensibilities, the movie defined a decade for fairy tale fantasy.

3. 12 Angry Men (1957)

The film highlights a similar story of an eighteen-year-old Latino who is accused of having stabbed his father to death. He is presented in a courtroom before a twelve-man jury. Eleven out of the twelve men voted guilty, except for Mr. Davis. The latter half explores why the 12th jury didn't vote against him. This movie has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes & is seen as a Holywood masterpiece of the 1950s.

4. Night of the Living Dead (1968)

The movie Night of the Living Dead defines the decade of the 1960s for horror movies by introducing the concept of zombies. It is also known as a groundbreaking film in the horror genre. The film's plot unveils an unsuspected group of people getting trapped in an old farmhouse in Pennsylvania after the dead unexpectedly rise from the grave & seek living humans as food. As the zombies follow these trapped people, they struggle to find a way for their existence in danger. George A. Romero has directed the movie.

 5. Jaws 2 (1978)

Jaws 2 is a 1978 sequel to Steven Spielberg's iconic thriller. The story follows a Police Chief who contends with another menacing significant white shark threat, endangering beachgoers once more. The story of Jess and Celine's love is told in this romantic drama film. They are traveling through Europe and come from different countries. While doing a train tour of Europe, Jesse, an American man, meets Celine, a French woman. He chooses to spend the last few hours of his trip with her on his final day in Europe before heading back to the States, and he starts to feel something for her. The film, which stars Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy, and Karl Bruckschwaiger among others, was directed by Richard Linklater.

8. Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
