1. Silver Streak (1976)

It's one of the most successful comedies of its time. It uses physical gags, comic situations, and banter. It was funnier back then but will not be considered funny today. It touches on the elements of racism and social stereotypes. It will be regarded as an offensive movie with its insensitive jokes about black people.

2. Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979)

This movie aimed to be a satirical comedy of Christianity. The storyline revolves around a guy considered Messiah because he was born on the same day as Jesus. The movie might be funny in its time, but today films like this cannot be produced. This movie makes fun of Christianity for comedy. Today it is considered a crime that hurts the sentiment of religious followers. 

3. The Jerk (1979)

It is known best for her absurd humor and slapstick. This movie had a great fan following. The movie might seem like it could be more fun to the modern audience. The Jerk uses absurd situations and physical comedy. It might not resonate with today's comedy genres. Also, the jokes that were funnier in the era of the 70s may seem sensitive to today's audience. It has eth potential to offend modern audiences. 

4. Mr. Mom (1983)

One of the most exciting comedy movies of its time. The movie aimed to stir the fun element by reversing gender roles. Women of the house worked outside, and the man remained in the place for chores and child care. Today, these gender roles are considered backward, and equality is promoted. This movie will seem zero percent funny to the audience. They will only watch it as old stereotypical s norms.

5. Sixteen Candles (1984)

Presenting the life of a teenage girl, this film portrays the challenges and life experiences of the teenage. However, it was a light-hearted comedy of its times. But today, the modern audience cannot watch it as a comedy to enjoy. This movie, with its racial stereotypes and non-consensual interactions, seems inappropriate. The audience will see Sixteen Candles as an offensive and backward movie.

6. Weird Science (1985)

This was a unique type of movie with a mixture of comedy and science. The film shows how two high school boys create a woman with technology. They program the woman as they want it to be. The movie became quite popular when it came out. Today, it is considered sexist and insensitive. 7. Heathers (1988)

Another dark comedy movie that portrays high school cliques, bullying, and violence. It got a significant following when it came out, as it was so humorous. But it does not seem humorous anymore as it presents the sensitive topic of bullying with such humor that it is enjoyable. This era is more aware of bullying and mental health, so it will not resonate with today's comedy genre.

8. Aladdin (1992)

9. American Beauty (1999)

An Oscar-Winning comedy, American Beauty is a dark comedy. The main themes of the movie are identity crisis and suburban discontent. It was supposed to be a thought-provoking movie that also made its way into the dark humor category. This movie, portraying a teenager and an older man's relationship, can not be a light-hearted comedy. It will be considered insensitive to today's social norms.

10. American Pie (1999)

But today, the public humor has changed and evolved. This film uses crass comedy and jokes which might feel insensitive to the audience today.
