1. Rotary Dial Phones

One participant shared in comments that he misses rotary dial phones so much. In the past times, people contact through dial phones. The dialing pad was so satisfying. At that time, there were no mobile phones to carry with them. Thus people hang with walls for hours to attend phone calls. Some people who love these rotary dial phones keep them as decoration pieces. 

2. Typewriters

Typewriters were very common in past times. Every home, office, and market has these typewriters. It was sued to write letters and telegrams and to create bills. People were hired as typewriters with handsome salaries. But fast technology has replaced this with computers, laptops, and printers. 

3. Letters

Letters do not exist anymore. But a few decades back, when there were no mobile phones and messages, letters were the only mode of communication. It includes official, private, and love letters. Even the kings and queens used to write letters to get access to eat other. And it was a very beautiful act to keep the letters safe as the record and the symbol of love. 

4. Weekend Cartoons

One group of participants voted for the weekend cartoons. Kids wait for the whole week for these cartoons. And on Saturday morning, they enjoy cartoon time with breakfast. It was a beautiful and memorable time. But now, kids are deprived of these beautiful weekends. Because now there are separate cartoon channels. Anyone can watch it anytime.

5. Family Photo Albums

It was a beautiful trend to have family photo albums. People used to carry their cameras at picnics and tours. And capture all the memories in it. And then they develop these pictures and make a large album of it. And they keep this album for years. But now everyone carries his mobile phone and takes selfies only.

6. Book Shelves

The hobby of reading books was very common in past times. People used to read books before going to bed or in their leisure time. In this way, a large collection of books was collected. People love to collect these books and arrange them on bookshelves. Almost all homes were blessed with such bookshelves. But now people think it takes up too much space in the home. 

7. Cable Antennas

This thing was very memorable from past time. The cable antennas were placed on the roof to get the signals of the cable channels. And these antennas get disturbed by high wind. And one man stands on the roof and sets the antenna. And the other man stands inside to room to shout; it is working, it is not working.

8. Milk at Doorsteps

In the past times, people have witnessed milk bottles and newspapers lying outside the doors. In the morning, the first thing I did was pick up these bottles and newspapers. Because the milk provider does not disturb people by knocking at the door, they just leave the bottles here. But now this trend is not followed anymore.

9. Smoking Sections at Malls

Smoking sections were dedicated to smokers in malls, restaurants, and hotels. This was to show that smokers are not welcome anywhere. And to avoid passive smoking, these sections were allocated. But now, no such sections are provided. People can smoke anywhere.

10. Long Family Gatherings

People were used to enjoying long family gatherings. A family of 25 to 30 people sitting in one hall, enjoying coffee or tea, was the best memory from the past. They used to gossip for hours. But now, fast life has shattered these family gatherings. No one has time for this gossip. Instead, they spend all this time on phone calls and work.
